Friday’s Favourites

These past two weeks have been extremely stressful with my first piece of honours coursework due at the beginning of December so I apologise for my complete lack of conversation here. Needless to say, I took a lovely trip to Edinburgh with the Boy to check out the German Christmas market which has now become a festive tradition. This is what kept me going this week!:

for anyone well acquainted with Edinburgh you will know about the failure that are the trams – however, despite Prince’s St being closed due to this, it seems that ice sculptors are making the most of the free space!

at the Fire Punch stall wrapped up against the wind – basically the German version of mulled wine and pretty tasty at any time of the day!

Harvey Nichols Chocolate Lounge – so obsessed with this place. The white chocolate and strawberry fondue is ridiculous!

a fantastic charitable idea – there was a christmas tree in the local shopping centre with these little gift tags all over it. Inside was a childs name and age and you could then go out and buy them a gift as they are less fortunate and unlikely to have as happy a christmas as most. I got a little 2yr old girl and bought her fairy wings, a tiara and a lovely warm coat for the winter weather.

Finally, the Boy had been entertaining me since my return from the Sahara with funny animal pictures each morning – this is my personal favourite…”loaf dog”!

Happy weekend – WSM.
